Many students apply to transfer after their freshman year due to having 15 or more hours of AP credit or DE credit from HS, and with Fall semester work, this adds up to 30 hours or more. Others will apply for Spring term after 1.5 yrs at another institution. Still others apply after 2 years at another college.
