Tacoma plowing snow

2 posts · Joined 2008. #1 · Jan 14, 2008. I'm considering mounting a small personal plow on my 2004 toyota tacoma. this will be used for my driveway and also for a small auto dealership. I want to have something decent that i can angle and operate without getting out of the truck. I dont want to mount one of those receiver type plows.

Tacoma REQUIRES a minimum of 7' in order for it to clear the wheels. I'm not aware of ANY current vehicles that would be OK with a 6'. Probably something small and old, like a suzuki samurai. Light weight and good snow plow are mutually exclusive terms. This truck can handle about 500 pounds of plow before you need to start modifying.Welcome to Tacoma World! ... Go slow with plowing and you should be OK for home use. I don't use ballast but always try to have full tank of gas (19x7lbs).
