Modern warfare lagging but internet is fine

Hello. My game has been experiencing serious lag ever since the December 3rd update on xbox. I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with my internet as I've done some tests with other games and apps and everything seems to be working fine. Most of the time my game will just freeze up but the game itself still registers my movement.
